first muse revisited
hey folks
hope you remember my doctor friend bunmi this is a more recent picture of her this time, i wasn't as overzealous with the skin and i now know a little bit more about lighting it's been almost 5 years between both pix but she hasn't aged one bit she's a welcome muse anytime

Dr A. W!: thanks man
Good stuff! Light and tones are spot on.
Dr A. W!: thanks martin
A lovely endearing smile, well captured Dr
Dr A. W!: thanks fotografa
her smile is indeed the star of the pic
To be honest, DrAW, I can't believe it's the same person! Her smile is gorgeous but that earlier photo makes her msyterious in a glamorous way!
Dr A. W!: lol
thanks ginnie this is her third pic on my blog actually the second being http://www.draw.shutterchance.com/photoblog/bunmi_/
I'm drawn to her eyes immediately. It's a beautifull portrait. Clean and crisp. Just to satisfy my curiousity! Did you use a little fill flash? curious that all
Dr A. W!: i bounced a single speedlite flash from the ceiling and wall
thanks ade i think this idea of yours, using smileys to represent stars, is brilliant hopefully it will catch on like suby's word 'likey'
This one lets me into her natural beauty...nice one Doc
Dr A. W!: thanks yinks
i hadn't thought of that
This is a very pleasing portrait. Her personality seems to come through.
Now lets talk about the hot spot on her forehead (looks like direct flash to me) Okay sing with me: Bounce, bounce, bounce to my new fuji cabbage.....
Dr A. W!: (alan shore voice)...you cannot exclude use of bounce to a medical certainty can you
lmaoed at fuji cabbage
Wonderful portrait. I love her smile!
Dr A. W!: thanks richard
She has a lovely lovely smile
Dr A. W!: yeah one would think she went to smiling school or something
As usual..great shot.
Dr A. W!: thanks
Something very graceful about Bunmi. Lovely capture here, Doc.
Dr A. W!: thanks bridge
She looks a fun person to be with, doc. I like your choices of colours for the setting. They harmonise so well with the subject. I really like her dress too.
Dr A. W!: thanks chad
though most of the credit goes to her
Beautiful portrait DrAW. She has the most beautiful eyes and smile.
Dr A. W!: thanks aussie
and thanks on her behalf
This is a fine portrait. love what the light is doing to her hair and face.
Dr A. W!: thanks smits
Lovely smile, and certainly a lovely person.
Dr A. W!: yeah she is
I wouldn't have recognised her. She has a lovely face and smile and this is such a relaxed and natural picture Doc. Love it!
Dr A. W!: lol thanks bill
A lovely shot. I love her hair
Dr A. W!: thanks tia
You've certainly got better control of lighting in this image. In the other one you nuked her head...and the skin smoothing didnt help hide it. Same happened to me a few weeks back. What lighting setup do you use?
Dr A. W!: thanks tony
for this shot, a single on-flash speedlite, angled so it can bounce of the wall and ceiling
I can see why I was so baffled because I could tell there was flash and it was well balanced but judging by the situation I could not figure out how you did it. nice one 4 dure
Dr A. W!: thanks ade
nice portrait, lighting handled well...
Dr A. W!: thanks photosam
Yes this is a lovely shot
Dr A. W!: thanks e
African Queen!!!
Dr A. W!: thanks jane
