I love the way the young are bigger than the parents and still demand feeding...hang on that has a certain ring to itgrin

Not a bad effort though I wish you'd gotten closer

200mm doesn't make you God after all...especially not on a full frame tongue

Agree with Nigel, seems sharp enough.

I find myself wishing you had a different pov but then I remember they're not models posing for you. Probably gone before you know it.

Nice work. How've you been?
DrAW!: you won't believe how fast this action was

blink and you would've missed it

I have a bunch of these English sparrow nesting in some tree sparrow boxes I erected. Thew were being taught how to fly by their parents and were all lined up on the shed roof flying a short distance to a tree and back. They were very noisy and the scene was very precious, as is this one.

I like everything about this shot, from the soft green, the rusty gate, the twining leaves, to the vignetting. Lovely.
DrAW!: thank you so much Mary,

it must have been such a precious sight with the little birds on the roof
A great moment very well caught.
DrAW!: thanks Brian smile

Isn't the fella a little too old to be fed? smile Great capture, don't know what you're talking about slow shutter speed! You've got a great dof going on.
DrAW!: thanks Mia,
i guess you're right about the shutter speed
Wale, you're using a 5D MkII, you have all the pixels you need even if you cropped, so crop!!! Don't blame the lens on this one.
DrAW!: my bad!

one of the reasons i didn't crop closer was because you could see a little bit of motion blur on closer inspection. (though i must say i'm quite pleased with shutterchance's sharpening)
another reason was i didn't mind all the 'distractions' that showed in the long run.

all that said, though i felt the final image was worthy of placement on this reputable forum, my original intent was still to zoom in as close as the lens would've allowed...an irony though, when you consider that the motion blur would have been further exaggerated smile
Que imagen tan maravillosa, Gran captura.
DrAW!: thank you very much Mª Angeles smile
Wow, fantastic capture!
The background looks very nice too.
DrAW!: thanks Paul smile
