thou art probably right...
i needs must to sit at thy feet for teachings in imagery and composition,
but first, thou must sit at my feet that i may school you in the ways of tact...

first lesson:
sayest thou not 'thy work displeaseth me'...
instead say thou this...'master, thou art indeed a highly revered craftsman, but on this day we fail to fully appreciate thy genius because we know not where thou comest from...of all the glorious images in thy treasuries, we find this one lacking the most...that is of course after a time, and then a time of allowing our vexation to subside'

Hi Dr A.W
i have been checkin out ur work on shutterchance for a while..even found the one with wildchild, ebuka, isis in some pub...i really love ur work and your growth...i am some hobbist setting fresh into photography and i really need some advice...i am based in naija and my interests are portraits and events...kindly advise me on the canon model and lens you think i should start with, kindly note that my budget is within $900
your response will be highly appreciated...
thanks alot
Dotun Adedoyin
DrAW!: hi dotun
how come you've already made up your mind on canon
canon makes some of the best cameras in the world, but nikon usually matches them for functionality at a cheaper price.
i'd say, for canon you should try to go for the eos 450d if you can afford it
it comes with a lens that should be good enough to learn the basics with

but if you want a more comprehensive analysis you should talk to stan (www.obistankenobi.shutterchance.com)

It took some time to determine what this was. I guess details are an important factor in weddings.
DrAW!: they sure are baby
Wonderful colours and the details are so sharp. Excellent.
DrAW!: thanks micheal
Aaahhh, always love these fightbacks (what we live for smile )

"TACT", sorry we speakee no ENGLISH smile

Vexation, AHHHH AIM ACHIEVED, cause we know you are a master, don't mean we always have to love what you do neither is it written that we have to say it the way you will appreciate, we say it the way we are, when we like, we have our unique way of saying we do, when we don't like, we also have our way of saying we don't/ It not about picking holes or saying we could better, it saying (in this instant) you disappoint us cause you are better than this (now is that kicking you when you are down: tongue )

By the way, "thou art still VERY bored" smile
DrAW!: 'Aaahhh, always love these fightbacks'...

lol (i also love fighting back...but you gotta admit that last one was very creative eh wink)

'we say it the way we are, when we like, we have our unique...blah blah blah'...

with me you can say it anyway you like cos i'm accustomed to your way grin
to me it only means that you care...
...but be careful about bruising other people's egos (i keep warning you) grin

'you disappoint us cause you are better than this (now is that kicking you when you are down'...

granted i disappointed you but not everyone else so i can't see myself as being down today...unless you feel that amongst all and sundry, your word is the absolute law tongue

ps. can't guarrantee you wont be bored tomorrow...but i promise you yet another creative fightback grintonguegrin

Well I don't care what some others think (naming no names), I think this is a pretty fine detail! Sometimes, it's the little details that make the most interesting images, and this one makes you think about the story behind it - why is it there? what's been going on? etc etc. Simple = good.
Ingrid
DrAW!: lol
thanks ingrid
much appreciated
though i'll also appreciate it if you let me know if i let you down some other time

believe it or not negative criticism has it's importance in our growth grin
