I think the biggest one is the white patch far left. Easily removed! The portrait is lovely and begs the question why not crop it square and lose most of the left half?

doc, i would have cropped just a wee bit off the top. the receding forehead line is the only thing distracting the beauty here. the moment is lovely smile

i'm probably just trying to get the widest aperture possible for the focal length
the lenses i use are 3.5/5.6

men..I dont see any distractions, sometimes photographers tend to over think an image, this is beautiful IMHO.

I wouldn't say the background was especially distracting to me. What i'd change would be the composition; more of the face and brush in the frame and less of the shelf...
